Which certifications are offered?
Installer Institute offers different certifications depending on the program you are taking. You will be able to take the MESA (ASC) Audio System Certification, MESA (SSC) Security System Certificate and can also Opt to take The MECP Exam.The MECP Exams offered are basic, advanced, and master installation technician certifications, as well as a mobile product specialist certification. What are the benefits to taking the MESA exams for certifications?
The MESA Exams test an individual’s knowledge and skills in mobile electronics installation. These exams are based on set educational standards for the mobile electronics industry and offered at approved mobile electronics training facilities. Certifications are available for Audio and Security Systems. Many installation employers require their installers to have MESA or MECP certifications, or, in many cases, certified installers will earn more than installers who do not have any certifications. How do I enroll?
First, request an information kit and speak with an admissions advisor to make sure you have all of the information you need to begin the enrollment process. Next, complete the enrollment application to reserve your seat and apply for financial aid or veteran benefits. You will have an admissions advisor help you with every step of the way.
What type of careers are available in this industry?
Installer Institute graduates become car audio installers at custom audio and electronic retailers or other electronics service providers. They may also start their own car audio installation business or provide installation services under contract for other retailers. Many students find success as both a car audio and home audio installer, by using the information they learn in the advanced or comprehensive installation programs.
